Do you have experience of digital fundraising for an NGO? Do you have the ability to develop and implement strategies and projects related to fundraising?

JOB PURPOSE

In this role you will act as the focal point for the development of Amnesty International’s digital monthly donor recruitment and retention programs and thereby drive the growth of the income from individual donors.

The post provides strategic input, technical fundraising expertise, advice on investments; guidance on managing lead generation and digital recruited donors and techniques to maximize their income through more efficient processes.

ABOUT YOU

You will have extensive experience of digital fundraising, including an understanding of legislation affecting it. You will have a demonstrated ability to innovate and communicate ideas effectively, to deliver to targets, as well as coordinate complex programmes, working to help Amnesty grow its fundraising income.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Fundraising Support and fundraising staff across Amnesty’s global movement to develop and perfect AI’s lead generation and digital fundraising conversion programs. This includes the provision of hands-on support.
  • Support in local agency selection or the recruitment, management of in-house teams and assessment of applications for Fundraising Investment Fund applications.
  • Track the global development of digital fundraising inside and outside AI. Ensure continuous local testing, collate learnings and apply to our programs to maximise results. Keep in touch with industry experts and keep track of competitor activities. Develop relationships with external experts and engage as relevant if workload becomes excessive.
  • Relating to knowledge management, bring together and facilitate communications between those doing face-to-face in AI, via Skillshares, workshops, social media, and Skillsbase on the intranet and on an ad-hoc basis. Create and share global resources – e.g. content, presenters, best practice manuals.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven hands-on experience and success in planning, developing and delivering digital fundraising projects, identifying key success indicators and setting and justifying benchmarks for performance.
  • Proven experience in the training of fundraisers.
  • Experience of developing and using monitoring and analysis tools for fundraising or marketing activity.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, performance management and pay schemes.
  • Experience of integrated multi-channel fundraising.
  • Thorough and current knowledge of digital fundraising trends.
