Position Title: Global Nurse Executive Fellowship Program Manager

Reports to: Deputy Chief Nursing Officer

Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options.

Employee Type: Full Time, Domestic and/or International Travel up to 25%

 

Position Overview:

The GNEF Program Manager will be a member of the Partners In Health (PIH) Nursing Team and Theory of Change Branch leading the implementation and management of the English and Spanish versions of the program. This role will leverage academic, organizational, and administrative skills to develop and strengthen this leadership program across OnePIH. The Program Manager will be working with the U.S. Coordination Site Nursing Team, collaborators at the University of Global Health Equity and other academic partners to implement this program The Global Nurse Executive Fellowship (GNEF) is a 10-month fellowship program centered on developing culturally humble and confident nursing and midwifery leaders who address current and emerging global health challenges by transforming health systems, and ultimately improving population health. To accomplish this goal the program is comprised of four components: 1) an online curriculum; 2) 3-week-long intensive components; 3) executive coaching and mentorship; 4) capstone project.

 

Responsibilities:

Program and Administrative Responsibilities (75%)

  • Oversee all aspects of program management, ensuring the effective and efficient execution of the established GNEF program work plans, logistics to support GNEF delivery for both in-person and hybrid teaching and learning modalities, fellow progression and adaptation, outcomes, and timelines
  • Monitor, evaluate, and adapt GNEF core components to ensure they are meeting the program objectives and making necessary recommendations and adjustments to ensure quality outcomes
  • Provide oversight and tracking of the GNEF budget to ensure financial stability and donor requirements
  • Serve as the primary point person for all inquiries regarding the fellowship both internally and externally
  • Manage and collaborate with the GNEF team to appropriately coordinate and delegate programmatic activities to ensure timely implementation of the program
  • Manage and maintain GNEF records including student and all teaching and learning records
  • Manage and maintain the GNEF learning management system
  • Manage the current Renfield University of Pennsylvania Fellows who are currently supporting the GNEF

 

Impact & Communication (15%)

  • Create both internal and external facing materials to market and advertise the fellowship for numerous audiences (donors, development, partners etc.)
    • Conduct relevant analysis with PIH’s Monitor & Evaluation (M&E) team to determine potential impacts of programmatic work related to program-specific initiatives, plans, and/or problems, as well as review of data and metrics associated with program progress
  • Collaborate with M&E to continuously monitor fellowship impact across PIH
  • Identify areas for increased program dissemination via conferences, panels, manuscripts etc.,

Donor Relationship Management (10%)

  • Primary point of contact for partners and donors interested in the program
  • Establish, foster and maintain relationship with donors, partners and interested parties
  • Provide quarterly updates to partners and donors on programs progression, successes and opportunities for growth

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree Preferred in a nursing/health – related field. Basic nursing and/or midwifery qualifications an advantage
  • 3-5 years of previous experience at a non-profit or similar organization
  • High degree of tolerance for ambiguity, and adaptability to working in a dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge or expertise in leadership capacity building
  • Advanced organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to take initiative; must be a quick learner, able to manage competing priorities and easily adapt to changing circumstances
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and countries in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills in word processing, database and spreadsheet programs; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Interest in social justice strongly desirable.
  • Ability to successfully communicate clearly and effectively in writing with diverse stakeholders in person, on the phone in writing and via video calls
  • Experience with knowledge management platforms, including SharePoint and Tovuti, preferred
  • Proficiency in research skills such as conducting literature reviews, searching databases, non-peer-reviewed literature and synthesizing articles
  • Demonstrated strong time management skills and can plan ahead, set priorities and work on projects independently
  • Process oriented and motivated to make team operations more efficient.
  • Fluency in English is required, Haitian Creole and/or Spanish is a plus.
  • Remote or hybrid work experience is preferable
