The Land Economics Group at the University of Bonn brings together researchers from various disciplines to understand which policies, institutional changes, and technological innovations most effectively improve land conditions. The group studies which policies, institutional changes, and technological innovations most effectively improve agricultural sustainability and societal welfare. For this, we rely on modern causal inference, machine learning, and especially geo-spatial data, and we work closely together with policy organizations.
Context
The Land Economics group at the University of Bonn is currently carrying out a global survey to understand the views of policy makers, governmental and non-governmental organizations. To support this work, we are looking for up to 50 Online Volunteers to carry out research on stringency, effectiveness and enforcement of environmental and agricultural polices worldwide. The project aims to collect representative survey responses of effectiveness, stringency and enforcement of environmental and agricultural policies worldwide based on a short online survey. Your task will be to send out emails to experts, asking them to fill our the survey, The expected start date for collaborating with online volunteers is end of September – early October. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a global effort, gain experience in online research, public policy, and environment, and work with a diverse team.
Task Description
We are looking for online volunteer to support with: -Conduct online research and identify organizations working in the agri-environmental space -Based on your language skills, you will be assigned countries and will be required to connect with NGOs, grassroots organization and governments -You will be required to send emails to identified experts asking for their participation in an online survey. You must ensure that the tone and content convey respect and professionalism -Maintain a database of organizations and collected data -Attend fortnightly coordination meetings with the project team to discuss progress, exchange information, and receive guidance -Each volunteer will aim to collect at least 20 responses from each country assigned to them -Each volunteer will receive 3 countries to work on
