JOB DETAIL

Purpose of the role

The Grants Assistant will support the Grants Coordinator in maintaining and applying NRC Lebanon’s internal grants management systems and tools. The role involves ensuring that NRC programme and support teams have access to up-to-date grants-related files and information. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.

What you will do;

  • Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining an overview of all grants, including proper filing of grant documents.
  • Disseminates reports, concept note, and proposal templates, and accurately reviews numerical data added to them.
  • Promote the rights of refugees in Lebanon, in line with NRC’s advocacy strategy.
  • Assist in tracking grants and deadlines.

Specifically you will;

  • Assist in donor reports, concept notes, and proposals, and follows up with the relevant people to obtain the needed information.
  • Consolidate and verify all numerical data submitted in reports by the area offices, in coordination with the Grants coordinator.
  • Capture minutes of meetings for Grant Opening, Review, and Closure meetings, ensuring all necessary internal documents are prepared.
  • Ensure proper filing of all grant documentation, both on sharepoint and hard copies, following NRC methodologies.
  • Ensure donor templates are available and grant coordination documents are organised.
  • Develop and maintain overview of all grants through the Grants Tracker, donor requirements, rules and regulations, and internal and external deadlines.
  • Keep track of grants and deadlines through trackers, organise and update grant documents, and assist with grants related requirements.
  • Follow up with the different departments to ensure adherence to PCM processes and provide ideas for improvement regarding the process to the grants coordinator.
  • Assist in preparing other needed reports as requested.
  • Assist the grants department with any other related task as needed.

Professional competencies

  • Bachelor degree in Political or Social Sciences, or any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience with NGOs, charities, or humanitarian work
  • Good organisational skills
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written
  • Proficient in MS Office application including Excel and Word
