Context

UN Volunteers is a programme that mobilizes and deploys volunteers to provide skilled services to various UN entities and UN partners towards the attainment of the SDGs. As part of the support to United Nations (UN) Volunteers capacity building and learning opportunities are provided to enhance their skills and prepare them for their onward career transitions beyond their assignments – this learning is provided through a mechanism within UN Volunteers called the Capacity Development and Learning Fund (CDLF). As part of the CDLF activities for 2024, UNV Zimbabwe organized a two-day workshop focused on Leadership Skills and Development for its’ serving Volunteers. The workshop took place from 21st – 22nd November at Wild Geese Lodge on the edge of Harare.

Task Description

We are looking for one (1) Online Volunteer who under the guidance of the UNV Country Coordinator at the Field Unit In Zimbabwe and in close collaboration with the communications team will edit and design the CDLF report that was recently drafted. This is part of the efforts at the field unit level to develop knowledge products and or reports to document key activities that have taken place at the field unit level to date. The following are the key outcomes of this assignment: – Edit and creatively design and layout the CDLF Report. Into a version that can be printable if financial resources permit. etc. – Create draft design for review and further guidance from Country Coordinator and the Communications Team within UN Volunteers – Develop the design according to agreed requirements. The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance. The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the UN Volunteer Field Unit and learn about the ways in which graphic design can increase the visibility of successful interventions that are supported by the United Nations.
