Increased understanding of CPS risks and opportunities will foster the integration of practical lessons into policy and decision-making processes, including engagement with communities and Member States and create a collaborative environment where diverse stakeholders can learn from each other’s experiences to operationalize the CPS agenda within UN field missions and regional organizations. The resulting knowledge product will enhance the visibility of CSM’s work and its partners. This will further support the CSM’s initiatives to foster thought leadership and solidify its role as a knowledge hub on CPS.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual contractor will be responsible for the following specific tasks and responsibilities: Develop a coherent graphic design for both print and online versions of the CSM knowledge product final report with an executive summary using engaging layouts, visuals, and infographics that effectively communicate the content, ensuring clarity and alignment with the product’s objectives. Incorporate graphic elements, such as social media tiles, that can be adapted for interactive features, enhancing user engagement across different social media platforms and websites. Create a poster compiling key findings of the report, incorporating engaging visuals, infographics, interactive elements, and a clear visual hierarchy to effectively target diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications/special skills

Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. At least 2 years of substantial experience in designing complex graphics for educational purposes, including charts, diagrams, reports, and infographics are desirable. Prior experience working with the UN is highly desirable, especially in the production of UN materials. Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and composition and a strong creative flair and the ability to think visually. Familiarity with various social media platforms and strong visual storytelling skills (using software such as Adobe Premier Pro) for social media
