NCI Agency acquire, deploy and defend communications systems for NATO’s political decision-makers and Commands. Based in Oeiras (Portugal) you will join the NCI Academy.

The NCI Academy has been created by the NCI Agency to deliver high quality, certifiable and modern vocational training on systems and services utilised within NATO. The NCI Academy is led from its flagship training delivery location in Oeiras (Portugal) and supported by staff and capabilities in The Hague (The Netherlands), Brussels and Mons (Belgium).

About you

We are looking for a talented, committed and engaged Head of the NCIA Corporate Academy, ideally with a Master’s degree in a related discipline and able to demonstrate 5 year’s post-related experience or alternatively, with a Bachelor’s degree with 8 year’s post-related experience.

Head of the NCIA Corporate Academy will be responsible for developing and managing the training requirements of Agency staff in close alignment with the Agency stakeholders.

Under the direction of the NCI Academy Director, the incumbent will lead the NCI Agency Corporate Academy, transforming the NCI Agency into a learning organization and providing its staff with the necessary corporate knowledge and professional individual and team development opportunities to accomplish the NCI Agency strategic objectives and customer requirements with the highest standards while ensuring staff’s continuous growth.

Additionally, The Head of the NCI Agency Corporate Academy will lead the development and implementation of the Agency-side learning and development strategy, manage the Corporate Academy Core Team, engage with external training suppliers, supervise associated budgets and oversee the continuous improvement of learning services associated with this dynamic and agile environment.

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Selected candidates who are not nationals of the host country and who have not been continuously resident in the host country for at least one year may be eligible for an expatriate allowance. For the purposes of determining continuous residence, NATO considers mainly the work location at the time recruitment started, independent of whether various ties were kept with the home country.
