JOB PURPOSE
In this role you will ensure effective leadership and manage learning development while leading on the provision of personal development, essential and mandatory training for managers and IS staff members. This role will include responsibility for scoping and refining programme content and approach, sourcing and managing external / third party suppliers to facilitate sessions and providing ongoing support to delegates.
ABOUT YOU
As the Head of Learning and Development you will have experience of cloud-based e-learning platforms as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also have experience of procuring and working with external suppliers to gain best value for money.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create innovative and accessible bespoke learning experiences combining face to face, virtual and digital solutions, using a variety of learning methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices.
- Lead the global wellbeing strategy – driving campaigns to promote, maintain, and improve the physical and mental health of IS staff. Manage relationships with key external wellbeing providers including the EAP provider and specialist trauma and crisis support.
- Support the L&D Administrator with the development and management of the Learning Management System, Totara, creating innovative tools and content to guide team members through their personal development.
- Undertake L&D and wellbeing projects as required and work with HR colleagues and business leaders to deliver initiatives and improvements in line with business needs.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including face to face and virtual facilitation/training delivery.
- Experience in project managing and delivering learning and development solutions and programs with reference to best practice.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and to support delivery against annual business plans.
- Proven written, numerical, communication and verbal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail for producing documents and processing information.
