Head of the Power Systems, EMC and Space Environments Division in the Electrical Department, Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality.
Under the direct authority of the Head of the Electrical Department, as Head of the Power Systems, EMC and Space Environments Division (TEC-EP), you will be responsible for all aspects of power systems required for ESA spacecraft and payloads.
More specifically, TEC-EP’s responsibilities encompass:
The Power Systems, EMC and Space Environments Division’s activities also encompass system trade-offs and detailed assessment of the related technologies, as well as bread-boarding and testing in the associated laboratories and facilities: the Electromagnetic Laboratory and its facilities, the ESA Space Power Laboratory, and its facilities in solar generation, power, and energy storage (battery and fuel cells).
Reporting to the Head of the Electrical Department, as Head of the Power Systems, EMC and Space Environments Division, you will be responsible for managing the Division and its activities, supported by Heads of Section, who each manage a team of technical experts.
You will be responsible for the technical and strategic management of all aspects of power systems, EMC and space environments required for ESA spacecraft and payloads.

You should have a master’s degree in physics or electrical/electronic engineering, as well as extensive experience in one or more of the technical areas covered by the Division.
