Job Description:
Major responsibility
- Coordinate mobile health and nutrition team (MHNTs) activities with relevant government directorates, BPHS (NGOs)
- Coordinate with the sub-health units in relation to seconded nutrition staff and the nutrition program
- Ensure quality programming by the MHNTs and appropriate infection control especially if there is a disease outbreak or COVID-19 outbreak.
- Support MHNTs in problem solving when specific health/nutrition need
- Conducting training need assessment, prepare and deliver trainings outlined on TNA for the mobile health and nutrition team staff, and CHW. (PSEA, IYCF, IMAM, IMCI etc.)
- Provide ongoing mentoring and field level support.
- Coordinate project training plan with BPHS and provincial public health directorate.
- Ensure proper pharmacy of MHNTs including consumption reports, no stockouts, rational use of drugs.
- Review and check HMIS data from MHNTs, analysis and submit to project coordinator and PPHD/MOPH on timely bases.
- Review and check SAM/MAM monthly statistical report and submit in MoPH nutrition online database.
- Follow up of referred cases by MHNTs with hospital to ensure that they have proper secondary medical care.
- Identify and report immediately any medical or administrative problems that may interfere in achieving program objectives to project manager or health coordinators.
- Organize community awareness raising campaigns on health seeking behavior issues in close collaboration with community elders, HFs and BPHS NGO staff.
- Meet regularly with beneficiary communities and leaders to ensure project effectiveness and community involvement in decision making on MHNTs services.
- Provide join supportive supervision on project sites on the job training to MHNTs staff and undertake regular supportive supervision of the project activities at field level.
Stock management:
- Approve dispatch of orders (first in first out or oldest by use by date), donation of close to use by date and destruction of expired products
- Review and approve monthly consumption reporting and timely request of replacement
- Ensure rational use of medical supplies – through prescription monitoring of MHNT
Reporting, analysis monitoring and evaluation
- Prepare monthly report and send to project manager.
- Review and forward pharmacy consumption and inventory reports to the pharmacy coordinator, project manager.
- Analyze the consumption of drugs and other pharmaceuticals and provide feedback project manager / health and nutrition manager/ pharmacy Coordinator and related health facilities pharmacists.
- Beneficiary reporting – including consultations, nutrition activities, training activities, community engagement and CHW reports to project manager
- Tracking of health indicators and community surveillance and report to health advisor if suspected outbreaks for investigation.
Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility
Management of team to ensure quality programming

- Required Professional Experience
- At least 2 years of Relevant experiences in managing health programs
- Experience in Pharmacy management, Clinical Medical, or Nursing, staff management and training
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Should hold MD qualification or senior nursing/midwifery qualification with project management experience.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
The position is based in the zonal office with regular travel to the field
