JOB DETAIL

The Health Development Officer serves as a technical advisor to USAID Missions to advance critical initiatives, bilateral/regional development objectives and/or operational targets and goals. In addition, the incumbent makes significant contributions to the design of new centrally managed family planning projects consistent with Agency and PRH objectives and technical priorities, and works closely with Office of Acquisition and Assistance staff in technical review of Program Descriptions and Proposals submitted in response to Requests for Assistance and Requests for Proposal. The Health Development Officer fosters and maintains appropriate rapport with external customers and develops working relationships with external organizations as required. The Officer will attend and represent Agency and PRH at internal USAID and USG events as well as at external meetings and events to articulate Agency and PRH technical and project/program priorities. The Officer is expected to travel internationally at or around 25%.
