Mission and objectives

Youth Co:Lab positions young people front and center in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.

Context

The Youth Co:Lab Springboard Programme is an incubation process to leave no one behind on entrepreneurship education. Through our collaboration with industry experts, alumni founders and investment partners, we curate practical curriculums to support social enterprises to best showcase their impact, and obtain mentorships and opportunities to advance their SDG solutions.

Task Description

We are looking for an experienced Online Volunteer to support with a strategic marketing plan to increase the awareness of an upcoming product launch by NuttyVillage, a social enterprise under the Youth Co:Lab portfolio. NuttyVillage is an India-based organisation that empowers small-scale women farmers to create sustainable, preservative-free peanut products through value-added processing and infrastructure development. The Online Volunteer will provide strategic guidance on how to market NuttyVillage’s special edition product for their target market with the appropriate messaging and brand communication under the supervision of a Youth Co:Lab staff. Tasks include developing a holistic marketing plan document through competitor research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification and also include a content timetable for posting on Instagram and their official website. NuttyVillage will provide online volunteers with necessary organizational information and communication materials. This assignment provides Online Volunteers with an opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in communication, storytelling and marketing with a food-based social enterprise.
