Role Overview:
As our HR (Staff Care) Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and healthy work environment for all NRC Ukraine staff, support the HR Manager in fulfilling both local and global Staff Care responsibilities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing staff well-being.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the focal point within NRC Ukraine for the Staff Care activities and initiatives.
  • Offer counseling, stress management, and interventions for critical incidents when required.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and sensitization programs on staff welfare and duty of care for all personnel.
  • Recommend and implement strategies and procedures aimed at fostering a high-performance culture within the department and the organization at large. This includes devising feedback mechanisms, conducting staff surveys, managing complaints, organizing team-building activities, among others.
  • Establish and maintain a network of mental health professionals for referral purposes.
  • Oversee the administration of insurance schemes for national staff.
  • Deliver capacity-building workshops for staff and managers to empower them in fulfilling their Staff Care obligations.
  • Serve as the key contact for initiatives related to staff psychosocial support.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Coordinator to conduct induction sessions for new hires.
  • Provide ongoing individual or group clinical support for field staff in a confidential and supportive environment, enabling them to reflect on their professional practice and the impact of their work on themselves.
  • Continuously evaluate and report on compliance with the Minimum Staff Care and Duty of Care Standards.
  • Facilitate meetings between staff representatives and management, ensuring thorough follow-up on action plans and documentation of meeting minutes.
  • Assist the HR Manager and management in tracking progress on action plans resulting from staff surveys.
  • Collaborate with Regional and Global staff care focal points on fulfilling local and global staff care initiatives and responsibilities.
  • Propose and coordinate staff well-being initiatives in collaboration with staff welfare committees.
  • Offer technical support and capacity building in the realm of Staff Care.
  • Establish, train, and oversee NRC’s peer support network.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

You’re a perfect fit if you:

  • Have 3-4 years of experience in mental health and psychosocial support, ideally in a humanitarian context.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology (Master’s preferred) and have a proven track record of success.
  • Are fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, with strong written and verbal English.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and open dialogue.
  • Are a natural leader and collaborator, passionate about staff well-being and organizational growth.
