You will support our dedicated managers and staff at the Head Office in Oslo who are helping people forced to flee all over the world. What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic Human Resource Partner to provide support to our teams responding to the Head Office HR Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that NRC’s HO HR policies and strategies are implemented and in accordance with Norwegian labor law. The HO HR Partner is responsible for providing advice, guidance and support across HR areas such as performance management, compensation, employee relations, employee legislation and HSE to Head Office line managers and staff.

What you will do

  • Initiate, prepare and ensure implementation of HR initiatives according to overall NRC strategy
  • Advise HO managers on workforce planning, recruitment and organisational changes
  • Provide legal and practical advice to HO managers on issues related to their line manager responsibility, e.g. individual employment cases, performance management, time management and conflict management.
  • Build and maintain a proactive dialogue with line managers andstaff.
  • Contribute to development of the onboarding process and onboarding of new HO staff

What you will bring

  • Experienced HR Professional with expertise in a range of different HR disciplines, including

recruitment, work force planning, performance management, employee engagement,

employment relations and legislation, handling disputes and in-depth knowledge and                 application of the Norwegian Employment Act.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience within a large and complex organisation
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral
