PIH JOB DESCRIPTION ( Human Resource Manager )
Position Title: Human Resource Manager
Reports to: Human Resources Director
Department: Human Resource
Liaises with  
Supervises: HR Officer
Work Location: Maryland
Employment Type: Full Time
Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resource Director, the position will provide advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of HR management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to plan, implement, and assess employee relations and human resources policies and practices.
  • Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, promotion, and, when needed, termination of staff
  • Liaise with senior managers to monitor and review staff performance
  • Fairly administer Partners In Health’s HR policies and resolve employee grievances
  • Conduct orientation and training programs for new employees and career development of existing employees
  • Assist HR Director with annual and semi-annual appraisals, as well as with coaching to improve the Partners In Health management culture
  • Ensure job descriptions and employee files are up to date
  • Ensure Partners In Health Liberia complies with labor laws and the highest standards of professional conduct
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
  • Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between employee
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, settling disputes, and administering disciplinary procedures.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors or associate degree or similar professional training in Human Resource and related areas are required.

· 5+ years’ experience working in Human Resource Management, Hiring, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law and Laws Against Sexual Harassment

· Knowledge of, and experience with computers, including Word, Excel, Power Point and other software. Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge and ability is very important.

· Strong planning and supervision skills

· Experience recruiting high-potential staff in a challenging HR environment

· Experience working in similar positions with international organizations is preferred;

· Proven experience of working closely with government, private and donor agencies

· Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment, with perceptive sensitivity to varied staff (national and international) personal and cultural management needs

· Good command of reading, writing and spoken English
