The Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness unit is the backbone of the HR function, driving the delivery of strategic initiatives. Key current projects include HR transformation, organizational design, digital HR, employee engagement, and strategic workforce planning.

The Human Resources Officer, Project Management and HR Transformation plays both a hands-on and strategic role in supporting HR initiatives. The successful candidate will drive transformative projects, manage change, facilitate HR functional excellence, and align people, processes, measurements, and standards. This role requires an experienced professional with the demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, implement project management governance, and influence organizational change.

Duties and Accountabilities:

•  Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria for HR initiatives aligned with the IFC HR Talent Management strategy.
•  Develop project plans, manage dependencies, and ensure project excellence.
•  Create dashboards, monitor projects, provide updates, and track key performance indicators.
•  Foster Agile principles and scrum practices within the HR team.
•  Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement.
•  Establish project management frameworks, set compliance standards, and implement PMO controls.
•  Collaborate on change management planning and execution.
•  Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Selection Criteria

 

•  Master’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience in a project management role in a large, global organization. Experience in HR roles or managing HR projects is advantageous but not required.
•  Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
•  Experience or familiarity with several project management methodologies (Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, etc.)
•  Proven track record of planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex, cross functional projects, with the ability to manage multiple project components simultaneously.
•  Experience in HR transformation, process changes and change implementation. 
•  Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power Bi.
•  Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and reporting skills.
•  Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences and identify and resolve challenges effectively. 
•  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mediate disagreements and negotiate resolutions across various stakeholder groups.
•  Self-starter with a strong drive and results orientation.
