Job Title: internally know as Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Programme Manager (International)
Job Location: UK Flexible (Hybrid working from home and attending our London office or other office locations when required for team meetings)
Salary: £45,500 – £50,000 plus ILW of £3,344 if applicable
Hours: 35 hours per week (can be flexible). Part time hours and/or job share will be considered.
Contract Type: Permanent

If your answer is yes, then the British Red Cross has an incredible opportunity for you as an Inclusion & Diversity Programme Manager in our International Directorate. In this role, you will spearhead the advancement, ownership, and project management of the International Directorate’s Anti-Racism Action Plan and broader EDI portfolio and strategy. Anti-Racism and EDI are at the forefront of the Leadership agenda, your mission will be to drive change throughout ways of working, policies, systems, practices, and environment. In addition, you will provide inspiring coaching, mentoring, and compassionate guidance to leaders, managers, and teams across the directorate, fostering conditions of growth and empowerment.

What will a day in the life of an Inclusion & Diversity Programme Manager will involve? You could be:
• Developing and facilitating an anti-racism communication and education plan.
• Running facilitated and targeted engagement and consultation sessions with teams
• Liaising with key stakeholders across to ensure the anti-racism action plan is driven forward, ensuring actions and accountabilities are clear
• Proactively working with the BRC anti-racism working group to share learning and experience.
• Providing evidence, insight, analysis and leadership on key themes that enable a shift in our ways of working.
• Working in partnership with, supporting and coaching leaders to define EDI action priorities.
• Listening and contributing to the development of new organisational strategies, policies and processes.
• Delivering workshops, training and briefing sessions and on anti-racism and EDI

To be a successful Inclusion & Diversity Programme Manager, you’ll need:
• Knowledge of anti- racism, equity, diversity and inclusion within an INGO or humanitarian context
• Experience of strengthening EDI practices and procedures and providing specialist technical advice on EDI, ideally within multiple country contexts.
• Experience of successfully building EDI strategies, tools and resources.
• The confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and decision-makers, good mediation and coaching skills.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• To be analytical and data-savvy, as you’ll need to identify key trends and produce clear sum maries
• Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
