JOB DETAIL

Summary of the Work

The selected candidate will serve as the moderator of the podcast series “From Fragility to Stability, with CGIAR” on their own established podcast channel. The primary responsibilities will include co-organizing the podcast series, promoting it, moderating the discussions, editing the podcast footage (including adding music), disseminating the episodes on the moderator’s own and other channels, and tracking listener statistics. The candidate will ensure high-quality content delivery, engaging discussions, and effective promotion to maximize reach and impact.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in Podcast Moderation: Proven experience in moderating podcast discussions, with a portfolio of past episodes or series.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in audio and video editing software, with the ability to add music, enhance sound quality, and ensure polished final products.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to co-organize podcast series, manage schedules, and coordinate with guests and other stakeholders.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Experience in advertising podcasts, utilizing social media, and other promotional channels to increase visibility and listener engagement.
  • Data Analysis: Capability to track and analyze listener statistics using relevant tools and platforms, providing insights and reports on audience engagement and growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear, engaging, and professional interaction with guests and audience.
  • Ownership of a Podcast Channel: Must own and actively manage a podcast channel with an established listener base.

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global issues, current events, and international relations to ensure relevant and insightful discussions,
  • Network and Connections: Strong network within the podcasting community and with potential guests who can contribute valuable perspectives to the series.
  • Creative Skills: Creative mindset to develop engaging content, thematic episodes, and unique promotional strategies.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Audience Engagement: Proven track record of engaging with audiences through interactive sessions, feedback mechanisms, and social media interactions.
  • Educational Background: A degree in journalism, communications, international relations, or a related field is highly desirable.
