General Objectives of the Contract:

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Assistant, the Individual Contractor will assist in recruitment and contract management, human resources administration, and staff development.

Responsibilities/Description of Professional Services:
  • Assist in smooth functioning of HRU by providing general office support, maintaining files and databases and managing office supplies and equipment;
  • Assist in recruitment by preparing vacancies, reviewing applications, reviewing recommendation on the selection of a candidate;
  • Assist in preparing documentation for panel meetings and arranging logistics;
  • Assist in preparing documentation to the Appointment and Promotion Board;
  • Assist in reviewing contract requests, issuing contracts, affiliating to insurances, processing evaluations for Consultants, Individual Contractor, Trainees, and Collaborators;
  • Assist in purchase orders related issues in ERP system;
  • Prepare attestations/certificates and HR related statistics;
  • Review requests for UN ID cards, UN Laissez-passer and UN certificate in accordance with UN rules and regulations;
  • Assist HR Assistant in all HR-related projects;
  • Assist in other activities in HRU as required.

  • Positive feedback from clients regarding services provided
  • Outputs are of high quality
  • Outputs are delivered in a timely fashion
Performance indicators for evaluation of results:
  • Effective delivery of a wide range of administrative and HR support functions under moderate supervision.
  • Establishment of effective working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
Reporting Structure:

The Individual Contractor reports to the Human Resources Assistant.
