The incumbent reports to the Chief, Social Services Division.
Responsibilities
– Serves as the technical lead of the Primero Case Management Database, provides all necessary support, guidance and advise to the Relief and Social Services Programme’s management to ensure efficient, accurate functioning and smooth implementation, operation and management of this system.
– Provides technical support to RSS social work staff in their day-to-day case management interventions and updates of the Primero case management database, using available web tools, including remote support techniques; analyses feedback on system operations for further system enhancement / improvements.
– Collects and maintains technical comments on the system functionality; conveys programme changing needs to the Vendor; tests new features and fixes on the Primero demo version, ensuring that they fit for the purpose, coordinates the promotion of these upgrades to the Primero production version.
– Monitors the infrastructure and availability of the system, ensuring that all users can access the sites, and coordinates support with IMTD and Primero vendors.
– Manages users and updates the user list, including onboarding new users and disabling inactive users and revoking access for security purposes.
– Provides regular analytical reports with technical support for optimization of the usage of Primero database for case management including developing and updating a dashboard from the system with necessary disaggregation.
– Designs and implements Primero data validation and data reconciliation; coordinates with UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) to align the Primero database with, including data protection standards and protocols; identifies areas for improvement and initiates the required actions and follows up implementation.
– Develops training materials/manuals and deliver training to RSS social work staff on the use of Primero case management database.

Education
A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Management, Information Systems, or related field.
Work Experience
– Three to four years of relevant work experience in information management systems/ databases preferably in a UN agency, non-governmental or civil society organization are required.
– Experience in creating and maintaining information management and reporting systems is required.
– Experience with information management systems as they relate to protection preferably Primero, either for UN agencies or NGOs is desirable.
– Experience in social work and case work interventions including case management is desirable.
– Knowledge and understanding of the Palestine refugee situation in the political context of the Middle East is desirable.
– A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Management, Information Systems, or related field is required.

Special Notice
Type of Contract: Limited Duration Contract (LDC), Band F. The Limited Duration Contract applies to external candidates and UNRWA internal candidates on LDC.
Duration of Contract:
1 year – with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
Grade & Salary:
LDC- Band F monthly basic salary ranges JOD 1,057.70

Other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave pro-rated to the duration of the contract where less than one year, and family allowance (if applicable).
This vacancy notice is open to internal candidates on LDC contracts and external candidates.
