Information Technology Senior Associate – SWIFT Solution Architect

About this position

 

 

We are looking for a Financial IT Solutions expert with a strong background in SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) to join our Corporate Solutions Team in the Information Technology Department.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing changes, performing upgrades, and satisfying new business requirements for SWIFT components and its interfaces with back-offices systems.

What you’ll do:

 

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the SWIFT platform, including troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues, in coordination with the SWIFT vendor and our service providers supporting the application.
  • Lead the development of SWIFT related interfaces and applications, translating business requirements into design specifications for our implementation service providers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date, secure and resilient SWIFT infrastructure, installing all necessary patches and annual upgrades according to SWIFT requirements, and having the necessary redundancy procedures for emergency failover.
  • Support ITE in all SWIFT related activities related to auditing, CSP (Customer Security Programme), tabletop exercises, etc.
  • Coordinate all major enhancement and project work being performed by our implementation service providers and make sure they are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop application acceptance test plans and coordinate scheduling of all integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide input into the operation of other financial applications in our Treasury & Risk Management areas.
  • Provide procedural and task guidance to more junior staff.
  • Work under the limited supervision of others.

What you’ll need

 

 

Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the following related fields: Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related area

Experience: Minimum of five t (5) years of relevant experience support financial solutions with at least four (4) years working as a subject matter expert on SWIFT , including:

  • SWIFT:
    • On premises: SWIFT Alliance Access, Web Platform, RMA, Alliance Warehouse, SIL
    • On the cloud: Alliance Cloud, Alliance Connect
  • NET development
  • Azure application development

Successful candidates would preferably also have the following skills:

  • Oracle, SQL Server
  • APIs: Strong knowledge of RESTFull and HTTP Protocol, Azure APIM
  • Familiarity with Financial and Risk systems such as FIS’ Quantum, SAP, Finastra’s Summit, QRM, Fedline, Bloomberg
  • Additional Desired Technologies: Jenkins, SonarQube, JFrog Terraform, ARMs, Azure CLI, Powershell

Languages:

Proficiency in English. Additional knowledge of an IDB official language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) a plus.

Type of contract and duration

 

 

  • International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
