Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.
The NATO Infrastructure Service Centre (NISC) is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic, domain independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources. NISC services (including: subject matter expertise; acquisition; project management, operations and maintenance; and, disposal) are provided in the following technical domains: network services (to include routing, switching and transmission services), infrastructure hosting, storage and processing, infrastructure networking, HW and SW management, databases and web platform services, as well as identity management.
This role will report to the Service area Owner (SaO) for Infrastructure Hosting services and to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) Infrastructure Hosting Services throughout the entire service lifecycle, regardless of where the technology components, processes or professional capabilities reside. This includes the synchronization of resources that support the service including resources that are located out of the SDM organizational control. This role has the authority and responsibility to report impacts on the service as well as provide expert advice on processes and procedures impacting the procedure. The Infrastructure Engineer will also assist the SDM with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lead level-3 and level-2 full life cycle of Infrastructure Servers and/or IaaS including SAN, NAS, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), infrastructure, engineering, virtualization, configuration, Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, iSCSI, SAN-Based Backup and Recovery activities.

About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Infrastructure Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related subject and 2 years post-related experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
You should also have:
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
