About the job:

 

Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).

 

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

·         liaise with other Infrastructure Branch Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Service Delivery Managers to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services

·         ensure the Business Continuity and Disaster Recover Plans are up to date for their area of responsibility;

·         be involved in, and provide support towards the NCSC and Enterprise Change Management, Technical Review, and Release and Deployment Boards

·         assist and support new and ongoing projects that impact on Platform and infrastructure Section

·         act as the SME for the Web Portals Infrastructure (SharePoint Farms, Intranet & Internet-facing NCSC Portals), Web Infrastructure Cloud migration (Azure / MS 365 SharePoint Online), Identity Management, Access Control and Federation Architectures (WAP/ADFS/NPKI) and SQL Server clustering deployment, management & backup

About you

 

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

·         University degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a technical subject with substantial Information Technology (IT) content and 2 years of specific experience. Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency; that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post

·         At least 2 years of experience in SharePoint Server 2016/2019 of administration and patching

·         Experience migrating SharePoint Server to newer versions

·         An industry recognized certification in SharePoint Server administration at the Associate level

·         Experience in developing custom SharePoint solutions using .NET Webforms (custom features, timer jobs, webparts, custom actions)

·         Experience developing custom SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Framework SPFx (ReactJS, Office UI Fabric, PnPjs)

·         Experience developing .NET desktop applications (WPF, MVVM, Windows Background Service, Dependency Injection, Entity Framework 6, Serilog, xUnit, Moq, Azure DevOps)

·         Experience developing ASP.NET MVC applications (Web API 2)

·         Experience with ThinkTecture Identity Server

·         Experience with VMware solutions

·         Experience with managing and coordinating communication and troubleshooting efforts with third party hardware vendors as described in service support contracts

·         In-depth understanding of infrastructure concepts related to Hosting, Networks, IP address Management, firewalls, certificates, Load balancing and Proxy

·         Experience within SQL Server clustering deployment, management & backup

·         Strong knowledge of Identity Management, Access Control and Federation Architectures (WAP/ADFS/NPKI) and related tools & applications development

·         Strong understanding of internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, TCP, IP
