Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
The Infrastructure (INFRA) Branch delivers a suite of enabling services in the specific areas of Cryptography, Identity Management, Technical Services (supporting CS Operations) and CIS Protection. These services include integration and validation of NATOs crypto solutions, lifecycle management of cryptographic equipment and keys, operation and logistic support for NATO-wide online and offline cryptographic equipment, identity management services, gateway services, specialized enterprise-wide CS infrastructure (including NCSC elements), applications, implementation, configuration and management of NATO Enterprise-wide endpoint security software.
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert and Service Delivery Manager for the NCSC Platform as a Service environment (includes the technical and administrative management of the PaaS team members), liaise with other Infrastructure Branch SMEs and SDMs to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services and ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Recover Plans are up to date. You will also ensure that the services and technologies are fully monitored and that all scheduled checks of the enterprise virtualized environments are done. You will be responsible for the configuration and management of the Virtual Clusters, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN instances in all environments, to ensure the review, test and installation of appropriate firmware, security patches and upgrades for all VMware-based operating systems, to provide remediation plans for the testing and implementation of third party firmware and security patches, to provide technical support and act as a point of escalation to other team members for storage-specific knowledge and experience.

About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Infrastructure Engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years of post-related experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
You should also have:
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Please note that ALL SELECTED CANDIDATES, with the exception of currently employed NATO International Civilians (NIC’s) will be appointed at the first Increment of the indicated NATO Grade, i.e. NATO Grade X, Increment 1.This is the salary referred to in this vacancy notice. Selected candidates who are not nationals of the host country and who have not been continuously resident in the host country for at least one year may be eligible for an expatriate allowance.
