Purpose of the Job
Under the supervision of bankers in the team, the intern will support the transaction related process in:
- Data gathering, research and provide background information into companies or sectors.
- Finanacial analysis of companies and projects including construction of financial models
- Administrative and analytical support in specific areas of project monitoring.
- Work closely with the accounting teams of the portfolio and pipeline clients to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Production of reports required during the project cycle and liaison with the Bank’s Risk department and other relevant departments.
- Drafting specific assigned portions of EBRD documents and correspondence.
- Attending business origination meetings with bankers.
- Identify and drive process improvements and operational efficiencies including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Providing support to the team members for Supply Chain Advisory.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Passion to learn and grow in EBRD
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially good command over Microsoft Excel
- Strong ability to build and interpret financial models
- Proven analytical skills
- Numerical skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
- Very good written (report writing, correspondence) and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
- 6 month – 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
- good relevant degree from a leading university preferably in Economics, Finance, Business or Engineering
- computer literacy
- some relevant commercial experience
