The “Accelerator Core Team” is tasked with the coordination of the implementation of the new initiative proposed by ESA, the “Accelerators” that are meant to support the acceleration of the use of space in Europe (see Accelerators: a vision and call for action – ESA Vision).
Interfacing with the Directorates in charge of the three Accelerators (Space for a Green Future, Rapid and Resilient Crisis Response and PROTECT the space infrastructure) and with all Corporate Services, the team is tasked with the concretization of the vision and the implementation of the Accelerators in a coordinated way, also supporting the identification of governance models and possibilities for funding. It also deals with the engagement with the main stakeholders to coordinate and develop new concepts of action targeting users’ needs, helping engaging funders, users and other partners in creating building blocks to augment ESA seed activities. It contributes to high-level meetings at delegate and Ministerial levels from the perspective of the Accelerators and designs an effective communication plan in synergy with the relevant ESA strategies that will contribute to output with impact (internal and external).

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master’s level in a technical or scientific discipline.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
