Field(s) of activity for the internship

Topic: Systems Engineering and Work Package Management for LUNA

Systems Engineering and Work Package Management for LUNA entails the entire life-cycle of projects to be implemented for the upcoming LUNA Facility. Each system starts with the mission-level requirements and is developed into high-level requirements from there. These requirements are then used to either develop a system “in-house” (for example the ground segment) or submitted to industry for them to develop a new system. The development of the initial system concept and ideas up to the respective level to be used internally or by industry partners is conducted by the Systems Engineer. The management of such a project from conception to delivery either by internal teams or industry partners is supervised and accompanied by the work package management. This contains all aspects from conducting development workshops to writing and evaluating tenders and finally conducting acceptance testing on delivery of the system.
