Under the direct authority of the Director General, the Communication Department is responsible for:

The Outreach Coordination Office, part of the Production and Management Support Division of the ESA Communication Department, is responsible for the coordination and the harmonization of public relations and outreach activities organized across the local outreach teams located at ESA establishments. As such It is responsible for defining and implementing a policy and plan for ESA’s presence at international and national exhibitions and strategic events in Member States, or other countries as necessary, including those for the general public. It relays on the Director General’s Advisory Committee on Communication (ACC) to develop, foster and maintain relationships with Member State communication entities and, in particular, those within national space agencies or offices and within all relevant European Union institutions. The Head of Outreach Coordination Office based at ESA HQ is the Secretary of the ACC.

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master’s level in a technical or scientific discipline.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
