The Strategic Foresight Office looks beyond current expectations and develops a variety of plausible futures and scenarios to support the Agency, the Director General and Programme Directorates in developing the Agency’s vision, increasing resilience and fostering change. The Office uses a variety of Strategic Foresight methodologies to assess current trends in society, geostrategy, politics, the environments, economy, law, technology, values, to anticipate potential change and disruption, identify threats and opportunities, and facilitate sound decision making at the Agency. The Office supports the development of the Agency’s strategic plan.

As an intern, you will be involved in all the activities of the Office and be exposed to the different tools and methodologies. Different tasks will be possible depending on your interest and capacities. The Office’s tasks include in particular:

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master’s level in a technical or scientific discipline.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
