About your role:

Support on research and analysis for a project on enabling a ‘just transition’ to electric vehicles in India.

How your day will unfold:

• Conduct primary and secondary research on the ongoing transition from internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEV) to electric vehicles (EV) in the Indian automotive sector
• Coordinate with industry stakeholders, govt agencies, experts, civil society on qualitative data collection and stakeholder consultations.
• Support the team in collation, transcription, cleaning and coding of data
• Carry out detailed literature review on global and India perspectives on ‘Just Transition’
• Support the team in qualitative thematic analysis and data modelling exercises
• Support the team in communicating research findings in diverse formats (report, papers, blogs, policy briefs and issue briefs, presentations) suitable for stakeholders in government, private and non-government sectors, with a focus on influencing policy and practice.
• Support the team for related events and capacity building activities

Skills and Qualifications we seek:

• Education: Completed or pursuing a post graduate degree in public policy, climate policy, urban or transport planning, environmental studies or related fields
• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis is a requirement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint is a requirement
• Proficiency in GIS would be an added advantage
• Good working knowledge of electric vehicle segment, automotive sector and energy transition
• General awareness of environment and climate domain – key issues, events and updates
• Excellent/ Strong research, interpersonal/ written/ communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work calmly and enthusiastically under high pressure
• Ability to think creatively

Stipend: 25,000 Per Month

Duration: 3 Months
