Purpose of the Job

The Communications Department is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications, advancing the Bank’s mission, vision and goals through various channels amongst external and internal audiences.

The Intern, Multimedia Production, will work to help the award-winning team deliver a variety of effective multimedia content that demonstrates the positive impact that the EBRD has on the countries where it invests.

Background

The Multimedia Production Team of the Bank’s Communications Department delivers a stream of high-end and inspiring visual content that demonstrates the positive impact that the EBRD has on the economies and the lives of the people in the countries where it invests.

The Multimedia Intern will be a key part of this team planning, shooting, editing and publishing high quality video and photography content for the EBRD’s external and integral digital platforms, including social media.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, edit and occasionally script video and photography productions to raise the Bank’s profile externally and to highlight its activities internally.
  • Contribute to the Multimedia’s team innovative production approach, working across everything from podcasts to Facebook Lives, Instagram short videos to cinegraphs
  • Support the social media team by producing digital content
  • Active participation in the planning of high profile events, such as the Annual Meeting, to ensure that all parties are offered the best coverage our department is capable of providing
  • Publish video and photography content to ebrd.com YouTube and social media platforms so that it is displayed effectively and can best be discovered by search engines
  • Maintain the video and photo library archives so that all assets can be easily recovered and put to good use.
  • Assisting and acting as in-house photographer and videographer for EBRD events

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Practical media degree course or equivalent, or at least two years of experience in a media production environment, with knowledge of the professional environment in which the skills below may best be used.
  • Understanding of storytelling and digital communication
  • A strong creative flair and a good eye for compelling visual narratives
  • Efficient self-shooter
  • Experience of editing short digital videos
  • Understanding of photography
  • Experience in editing photography desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of lighting and sound
  • Strong editorial instincts and able to edit unsupervised.
  • Ability to craft and structure short features
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English
