The main objective is to create and implement strategies, tools, and products that ensure a flow of information

(from leadership to staff, from staff to leadership, and horizontally among staff) to make the Alliance staff work in an effective and engaged way.

Maintain regular contact with regional communication officers to ensure a constant flow of information through internal channels, and help them develop and implement the internal comms regional plan.

Support regional comms officers and managing directors with sharing information targeted on staff in the regional.

Coordinate with CGIAR to create synergies to promote a bilateral flow of information between the Alliance and CGIAR, sharing through the internal channels of both organizations.

Contribute to the support of the service areas (Organizational Development Unit, Human Resources, Finance, Technology Integration, etc.) in developing their communication plans.

Design and implement communication products (including videos, institutional campaigns, blogs, internal newsletter, etc.) keeping Alliance staff informed and engaged.

Help with updating our SharePoint site, with the creation of new pages and news, especially with regional content.

Assist in other communications team activities as required, including, event organization and promotion,

digital campaigns, and staff communications support and training.

Photography coverage for institutional events and others.

Other responsibilities will be assigned accordingly to the programs and unit demands.

Bachelor’s degree in communication or marketing careers.

Specialization or equivalent, master’s degree desirable (related to communications field).

Extended experience managing internal communications.

Knowledge of global challenges such as nutrition, climate, gender equity, poverty reduction, or other similar topics is a plus.

Skills to produce multiformat and creative content for different internal audiences and purposes.

Experience with photography and/or videography desirable.

Knowledge of Mailchimp Platform, SharePoint, and Office 365 applications.

Experience in personnel management and institutional events/campaigns.

Excellent written and oral communications skills (English/Spanish).

Ability to multi-task/prioritize and to relate positively and engage with a wide range of people.

Proven ability to integrate, inspire and develop multidisciplinary teams and manage talent, with a

strong commitment to promoting diversity, knowledge sharing, and staff development.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team with people in a multi-cultural and

multidisciplinary environment, including with external stakeholders, and excellent interpersonal skills.

This is a national recruited position placed at a BG07, on a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest. This is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed-term contract of a one (1) year period, subject to a probation period according to the local legislation, and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
