About the Program

We offer internships lasting between 3 and 10 months. Our internship opportunities may commence at any point during the calendar year.

Before starting your internship with us, you will have to obtain a security clearance thus we remain flexible on potential start dates. Our helpful security teams will support you with this clearance process.

During this program you will join and support different teams and simultaneously learn from our business experts via on-the-job training and shadowing.

About the Internship

Internship duration: 6 months

Location: The Hague, Netherlands

The Independent Verification, Validation and Quality (IVVQ) group provides full governance, support and provision of the independent verification and validation of NCIA implemented, operated and maintained systems and services throughout the capability life-cycle. IVVQ is also responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and updating the NCIA-wide Quality Management System (QMS). It supports the Change Management process. IVVQ leads and develops the standard processes and procedures by which the NCIA verifies, validates and assures project deliverables (products), system changes, operational acceptance, service activation and service interoperability. Finally, IVVQ provides interoperability exercise support, subject matter expertise and IVVQ infrastructure. 

As an Intern – DevOps Engineering and Testing, you will analyze, assure and improve the quality of the product undergoing testing. You will test current products and identify deficiencies, according to the teams’ guidelines. You will be responsible for the test analysis, test execution, evaluation and documentation of test results and reports. You’ll also assure the follow up of the product defects workflow and verifying the product defect solutions. You will support other Test Engineers from the team during the software development process and design, create and manage workflows for deployments and releases, using Azure DevOps. Finally, you will also get acquainted with private and public cloud environments, with the help of the DevOps Engineers within the team.

Who you are:

  • A recent graduate or current student in a graduate or undergraduate school program in computer science or a related field
  • Some knowledge of Software Development Process and Software Testing and any CI/CD tool,
  • Some experience in automation tools and scripting languages;
  • Good communication and problem solving skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment;
  • Desire to improve and learn new things;
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in English

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply to our internship program, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You are a national of a NATO member country
  • You are currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both written and oral

  • Proof of ongoing studies with the dates clearly mentioned if you are still studying

Compensation

You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of 1,333.74 EUR per month, based on 38 hours of work per week and for travel expenses.
