Internship title: Online multimedia content
EUMETSAT needs to produce lively and engaging content to attract audiences to our website. A key aspect of this challenging internship will be to look at our current web audience and see who we are communicating with now and how we can fine-tune our content and also to identify and reach out to new audiences. It will involve learning to use analytics to segment our current audience and suggesting new ideas that we can trial, such as vlogs or other content.
Another important aspect of the internship will be the opportunity to develop exciting new multimedia content for the website by transforming pdf brochures, and potentially case studies, into immersive multimedia experiences. Using programmes such as Shorthand or Pageflow the intern will mix video, sound, text, and graphics to create a more engaging way of communicating the benefits of Earth observation satellites to new audiences. This will be a completely new style of content for the website and it will give the intern some excellent content examples for their portfolio and future employment applications.
The intern will join the Strategy, Communication and International Relations (SCIR) Division and will support Digital Media and Outreach team.
