About the Program

We offer internships lasting between 3 and 10 months. Our internship opportunities may commence at any point during the calendar year.

Before starting your internship with us, you will have to obtain a security clearance thus we remain flexible on potential start dates. Our helpful security teams will support you with this clearance process.

During this program you will join and support different teams and simultaneously learn from our business experts via on-the-job training and shadowing.

About the Internship

Internship duration:  6 months 

Location: Brussels, Belgium

NCIA’s CIS Support Unit (CSU) Brussels, is the primary Information, Communications and Technology service provider for 24/7 support to the Secretary General, the NATO International Staff, the NATO International Military Staff and other Customers in the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. CSU Brussels enables end-to-end Communication and Information services as it installs, operates, maintains and supports the full range of IT capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war for NATO HQ.

This internship is based in the Release and Deployment team which is responsible for all aspects of computer imaging/deployment, moves, updates, stock management and repairs of all NATO HQ’s computer hardware.

As an Intern – IT Release and Deployment, you will gain hands on experience in configuring, preparing and delivering a diverse range end user devices. You will learn how to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to end-users in response to their IT challenges.

  • A recent graduate or current student in a graduate or undergraduate school program in computer science or a related technology field

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply to our internship program, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You are a national of a NATO member country
  • You are currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both written and oral

We also request that you please attach the following documents to your application form:

  • Copy of the university degree you have completed and/or
  • Proof of ongoing studies with the dates clearly mentioned if you are still studying

Compensation

You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of 1,235.27 EUR per month, based on 38 hours of work per week and for travel expenses.
