About the Program
We offer internships lasting between 3 and 10 months. Our internship opportunities may commence at any point during the calendar year.
Before starting your internship with us, you will have to obtain a security clearance thus we remain flexible on potential start dates. Our helpful security teams will support you with this clearance process.
During this program you will join and support different teams and simultaneously learn from our business experts via on-the-job training and shadowing.
About the Internship
The Chief Technology Office (CTO) reports directly to the NCIA’s General Manager and is the NCIA’s leading technical authority. CTO leads the strategy of NATO’s digital transformation. This involves understanding our existing systems and technology and supporting the introduction of new systems and technology. CTO incorporates a variety of considerations in furthering NATO’s digital transformation, such as: new digital business concepts, data and information (including big data & artificial intelligence), cloud technologies, new architectural approaches, and driving technological innovation. The CTO strives to be operationally focused, forward leaning, and able to take strategic decisions that balance risk against transformation.
As an Intern – Space Technology, you will join the Space Technology Adoption and Resiliency team which is responsible for designing technical strategies and roadmaps to best equip NATO for the Space operational theatre. You will perform analysis of Space technology trends via internal and external/open sources. In support of our various Space programs you will help develop documentation and presentations, participate in education and training initiatives, and engage with key stakeholders. You will also support the lead Project Manager in maintaining our application systems and portals as well as develop educational material on how to use our internal systems.

Compensation
You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of 1,333.74 EUR per month, based on 38 hours of work per week and for travel expenses.
