1. Objective of the Assignment
The Investigator will undertake investigative tasks as requested by the Internal Oversight Division (“IOD”) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (“WIPO”), in relation to alleged wrongdoings including fraudulent, corrupt or abusive practices affecting WIPO’s interests.
2. Scope, Methodology and Deliverables
The scope and methodology of each investigative task, as well as the deliverables to be prepared by the Investigator and the person(s) to whom those deliverables should be submitted, will be agreed upon by IOD and the Investigator beforehand.
3. Reporting
The Investigator will report to the Director, IOD through the Head, Investigation Section, IOD.
4. Profile
The Investigator should have at least five years of experience primarily in investigation, criminal law, forensics, information security or in a similar area, with a significant prior exposure to fraud, corruption and/or misconduct issues.
5. Duration of Contract
The Contract is concluded for a duration of 120 working days, to be spent between September 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024.
6. Invoicing and Payment
Final invoicing will be made at the end of each month, based on the Daily Fee Rate multiplied by the number of days actually worked during the month, as evidenced by the deliverables submitted by the Investigator and confirmed by the Head, Investigation Section, IOD.
The assignment is remote based with travel to Geneva in relation to specific investigation cases, if and as required. Applicants are requested to provide an indication of their remuneration expectations in Swiss francs (daily rate).
7. Confidentiality
The Investigator shall maintain strict confidentiality of all information, documentation and materials related to the work conducted under the Contract.
