Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia the incumbent will undertake following duties: – assisting ASYCUDA core team in preparation for the systems’ acceptance by the beneficiaries of ongoing ASYCUDA and Single Window projects in the region; – working on software requirements, incorporating stakeholder input and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for each software component and their functionalities; – assisting in development and refining software components to align with the specified requirements, ensuring that they meet stakeholder expectations; – participation in testing of each software component and preparation of detailed reports demonstrating that individual functionalities meet specified requirements; – Integration of software components to create a unified system, providing a compiled version of the software; – assisting ASYCUDA core team in outlining strategies and methodologies to identify and resolve compatibility issues and resolutions, ensuring seamless functionality across all integrated components; – summarizing the review of the software architecture based on testing outcomes, highlighting any necessary adjustments or refinements. – update documentation to reflect changes made to the software architecture based on the review, ensuring alignment with optimized system requirements.
Qualifications/special skills
University degree in computing science, engineering, mathematics or related area Master degree or Bachelor degree with 2 years of qualifying experience is an advantage 7 years of experience of work in ICT sector, including as front-end and back-end developer. Experience of design, development, testing and piloting complex ICT software applications with big number of users. Experience in Angular programming language. Familiarity with customs automation, single window or similar systems is an advantage Experience of working in international ICT projects is an advantage; experience of working in the transition economies region is an advantage
Languages
Knowledge of English (technical ICT terminology) is required, knowledge of Russian is an advantage
