PURPOSE

We are seeking the engagement of a temporary (40 days) IT trainer/change consultant to work in parallel with our IT and Engagement Manager to support change initiatives support the IT training and change aspects of the on boarding of 30 Amnesty International sections to our global M365 tenancy.

The on boarding forms part of our Global Services Tenancy Project to deliver a collaboration and communications platform to 71 national Amnesty entities across the world using cutting edge Microsoft technologies ensuring equity and security of access to Amnesty data and functionality resources for the whole Amnesty Movement.

The expectation for this consultancy is to work 3 days per week for a duration of 40 days over 13 weeks from October through to January 2025.

Location: Home-based in the UK, with occasional visits to our London office as required.

OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES:

The Global Tenancy Project will deliver a minimal digital friction service to share and collaborate on content development with Amnesty movement colleagues globally.

This consultancy assignment’s objective is to augment the existing I&T training and engagement resources available to this initiative so that the onboarding of additional Amnesty colleagues can be properly supported in IT training and change management as the project transitions to operational BAU.

The engaged, temporary IT Training and Change consultant will work in parallel with the IT and Engagement Manager, Information Technology member in the following areas:

  • Conduct training and change need assessments.
  • Tailoring existing IT training and change management programmes for the specific circumstances of the national entity and key individual staff enable their successful onboarding onto the Intune project.
  • Building awareness and implementation of best practices in cyber security and information management.
  • Guiding staff on making the most resource efficient use of Amnesty support services.

They will also assist in overcoming known onboarding challenges such as:

  • Overcoming resistance to change particularly from costly third-party IT support.
  • Communicating objectives and benefits of Global Tenancy membership.
  • Providing support for local leadership in enacting the change.
  • Engaging with and communicating to staff and volunteers particularly when remote working and geographically dispersed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the opportunities the Microsoft 365 toolset can provide to modernize every day work processes.
  • Experience in providing training and support in a way that drives substantial change in a matrixed international operating environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret individual and organisational needs, particularly in relation to applications functionality, security and information management requirements.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, and independently execute tasks in a structured manner while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of customer/solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage assigned project tasks to successful completion.
  • Alignment with the vision and beliefs of Amnesty International.
