The Organization
The Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) delivers research-based solutions that harness agricultural biodiversity and sustainably transform food systems to improve people’s lives. Alliance solutions address the global crises of malnutrition, climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation.
With novel partnerships, the Alliance generates evidence and mainstreams innovations to transform food systems and landscapes so that they sustain the planet, drive prosperity, and nourish people in a climate crisis.
The Alliance is part of CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food-secure future.
The Partnerships & Communications (P&C) team is responsible for ensuring a robust and consistent pipeline of funders, investors, and partners that meaningfully engage with the Alliance’s mission. Also, the dissemination, transfer, and leveraging of research solutions are a crucial part of the institutional mandate of the Alliance and one of the most important roles of the P&C Team. The Alliance is now looking towards further expanding and diversifying its resource mobilization platform through the delivery of knowledge products and services. The Alliance recently launched the Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) to enhance the sharing, scaling, and deployment of scienceu2010based innovations and work more systematically with nonu2010traditional partners such as missionu2010aligned domain Incubators and Accelerators, leading R4D laboratories and forwardu2010thinking investors (e.g. Venture Studios, Venture Capitalist, Impact philanthropists). The aim is to integrate scientists and partners in resultu2010oriented teams that will deliver solutions to address challenges in agriculture and food systems while contributing to the achievement of the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The A4IP seeks to scale transformative technologies by drawing from existing and future research across CGIAR and sharing solutions with in-house scientists to foster areas of synergies. The platform has been identified as a strategic priority area within CGIAR, garnering much support and attention. This is an exciting time to join the Alliance, as the successful candidate will engage in new opportunities shaping the future of the scaling innovation platform under CGIAR.
