About this position:

Communications Division (DCC) uses digital intelligence, data, and creativity to help position the IDB Group as the preferred partner for development in the region. DCC works with traditional and digital channels to help give visibility to stories of impact in the region. DCC is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic native English speaker with expertise in editing to fulfill the role of Communications and Marketing Content Strategist.

What you’ll do:

The consultant will be responsible for:

Corporate marketing communications

  • Prepare innovative marketing campaigns to advertise specialized initiatives and create interest with stakeholders.
  • Design and create marketing materials.
  • Ensure that key brand attributes and corporate narrative are incorporated into communications plans.
  • Research the work of key organizations, partners, and influencers to find positioning opportunities.
  • Support the production of key events, trade shows and seminars.

 

Content development management

  • Produce a broad range of corporate communications products. This entails writing, editing, and proofreading press releases, op-eds, blogs, speeches, talking points, event, and video scripts, etc.
  • In coordination with the digital team, create social media content for the Bank’s corporate channels. This includes developing content for digital marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Write effective content based on target audiences and adapt it to different formats. This includes researching and analyzing a wide range of information, data, and materials.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in journalism, marketing, communications, or other related fields preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, Proven experience as a superior copywriter and editor, this entails writing clear and compelling copy for different audiences and in various formats, experience with marketing campaigns on social media, experience working with international and regional media outlets, experience working in cross-functional teams, across countries, engaging with corporate, regional, and local offices.
  • Languages: Native English speaker with proficiency in Spanish (Portuguese and/or French proficiency is also desirable.)

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

  • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
  • Length of contract: 12 months.
  • Work Location: On site.
