The Knowledge Management Coordinator is a key member of the Resource Development team who provides organizational support and governance for the division’s fundraising assets across digital platforms. They will work with the Executive Director, Mega Gift Content to design a knowledge management strategy that supports the division’s ability to raise funds, cultivate and steward donors, and orient new employees to CARE’s internal- and external-facing resources. Responsibilities range from information management and dissemination, coordination of knowledge management champions, governance of internal systems, and ensuring timely and intuitive access to information during emergencies. Ideal candidates are user-centric, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, complete tasks with urgency, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. Reporting to the Executive Director of Mega Gift Content, this position is based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement consistent knowledge management practices and resources across Resource Development to support staff success.
    • Working with the Executive Director, Mega Gift Content, the Knowledge Management (KM) coordinator will co-design and maintain a knowledge management strategy that serves the entire Resource Development division. Primary systems include Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive. The KM coordinator will work across teams and serve as the division’s point of contact to ensure that information is organized with users in mind, is easily accessible, is up-to-date, and timely.
  2. Coordinate and maintain Emergency communications during emergency responses
    • When emergencies strike, information flow is fast and prolific. The KM coordinator will organize and file incoming updates, quickly disseminate pertinent information, and serve as point of contact for internal requests for information.
  3. Coordinate consistent and complete on-boarding of new RD Staff
    • The KM coordinator will serve as point of contact to orient new division staff to Resource Development’s shared content systems including CARE’s intranet (Sharepoint), Resource Development’s MS Teams channels and digital filing systems.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Education, Library Science, Communications, International Development or adjacent and interest or experience in international issues.
  • Must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Sharepoint, Teams and Office.
  • At least 1-3 years experience working in a large organization, ability to curate large volumes of information, stellar organizational skills, user experience and/or human-centered design strategies are a plus.
  • Project management software knowledge will also serve the incumbent well.
