Where you come in:
The Library for all Program Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of Library for All’s expansion program in Vanuatu, Working closely with our partner Library for All.
You will make an impact by:
– Building a strong relationship builder/partnership with strong experience in project management, ideally in publishing or education.
– You are fluent in English and have exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
– You’re experienced with project management fundamentals and have a history of successfully delivering fast-paced complex projects and programs with high levels of stakeholder engagement.
– You will be required to coordinate and manage the production of library content to create a digital book collection.
– You will source, acquire, or develop a collection of illustrated children’s books.
– You’ll work with our international publishing team to manage the ingestion of these books into our e-library application,
– You’ll deploy the library through electronic devices loaded with our application to communities, schools, families and children who you’ll train and support as they use Library For All for the first time.
– Work closely with illustrators and desktop publishers coordinating publication of stories, obtaining certification prior to publishing from responsible authorities.
– You’ll also help shape Library For All’s long term strategy by commencing their footprint in Vanuatu, growing our collection, and enabling children to improve their literacy through the love of reading.
– You’ll engage widely across government, private industry, and the not-for-profit sector looking for opportunities for us to grow, and you’ll work closely with our international management team to help Library for All achieve its mission of making knowledge accessible to all, equally.
This role requires:
· Demonstrable experience as a manager successfully delivering projects and programs specifically with high levels of stakeholder engagement
· Formal qualifications (or significant experience) either in project management, education or publishing
· The ability to build and maintain strong partnerships within the community
· Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English
· Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Experience in business development encompassing contract negotiation
· The ability to work in a highly agile environment managing resources and activities to time and budget controls
· Excellent organizational time management skills
· Experience in monitoring and evaluation along with excellent communication and program report writing
· Ability to manage workflows and subcontractors to agreed timelines
· Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop is advantageous
