JOB DETAIL

NRC is looking for a Logistics Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operational and management aspects, of all country logistics operations (Procurement, Transport/Fleet Management, Warehouse Management, Asset Management, and Information and Communications Technology) within NRC Myanmar.

What You Will Do

  • Procurement: Implementing logistics systems and procedures, ensuring compliance by staff, developing annual procurement plans, building relationships with local suppliers and stakeholders, and initiating and maintaining leases, licenses, and contracts.
  • Transport/Fleet Management: Ensuring fleet and fuel management systems are in place, ensuring monthly analysis of transport information, ensuring vehicle maintenance plans, and ensuring timely transport support.
  • Warehouse Management: Overseeing all warehousing facilities, ensuring all procedures and controls are in place for warehousing, ensuring periodical inventory counts and spot checks, and ensuring stock planning and management.
  • Asset Management: Maintaining the asset register, ensuring periodic asset verification, ensuring asset and inventory lists are recorded and maintained, and ensuring an annual disposal plan.
  • Information and Communications Technology: Developing a strategic IT upgrade action plan, managing the ICT infrastructure and network, ensuring periodic ICT assessments, and ensuring system monitoring.
  • People Leadership: Building the capacity/skills of staff and contributing to their career development, ensuring work planning within teams in order to ensure unit objectives are met efficiently, monitoring and reviewing staff performance, and ensuring staff training and orientation.
  • Programme Support: Contribute to programme and project design, including budgets, oversee market analysis to support project modality decisions, and ensure the timely delivery of projects.

What You Will Bring

  • Senior Logistics Management experience in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • Myanmar context exposure and knowledge.
  • Start-up experience is an added advantage.
  • English and Burmese fluency, both written and verbal.

What We Offer
