QUALIFICATIONS
  • General Qualifications
  • University degree, preferably in engineering, equivalent to Bachelor’s degree or higher, or relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in life cycle management of weapon systems in either of warfare domains (air, land, naval, space, cyber), in particular in systems acquisition or systems integration.
  • Good experience in project management of customer acquisition projects for weapon systems.
  • An experience in at least two warfare domains (air, land, naval, space, cyber) would be considered as an advantage.
  • An experience in starting-up projects would be considered as an advantage.  Comprehensive experience in “in-service” phase contracting with emphasis on the technical aspects.
  • Ability to facilitate/present persuasively and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to manage time and work effectively under pressure while producing quality products under short notice deadlines.
  • Ability to develop resourceful and effective solutions to problems, to focus team on performance goals and expectations, to track metrics and measure performance, and to engage problems early to mitigate risk and redirect performance.
  • Knowledge of information systems at end-user level with experience in using personal computers and software packages.
Specific Qualifications
  • A recognised project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2® Practitioner or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting contractual requirements for acquisition or support of military systems and complex engineering tasks.
  • Good knowledge of QA policy and its implementation for the acquisition, in-service and disposal phases.
LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS
  • NATO’s two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and working knowledge of French is desirable.

POST DETAILS

  • Basic monthly salary: EUR 9 083.62, tax free.
