This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in our office in Washington DC. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. To be eligible for this position, you must be a resident of DC, Maryland or Virginia at the start of employment.

 

About the Program:

 

The Office of Grants and Contracts supports WRI Programs, Centres and international offices with funding award and subaward administration support, procurement and compliance guidance.

 

Job Highlight:

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Grants & Contracts, you will lead the sub- agreements function for the WRI US program, as well as support on the issuance and management of sub agreements across WRI’s international/global programs. You will also lead the Grants & Contracts team’s global training and compliance efforts and will be supported by the Global Director of Grants & Contracts as well as Grants & Contracts staff across WRI’s network, including Europe, India, Africa, China, and Colombia.

 

What will you do:

 

US & International Sub agreement Support (60%): –

 

  • Lead sub agreement activities for WRI’s US program
  • Act as the point of contact for WRI US staff and support international staff on all matters related to procurement contracts and subgrants
  • Provide primary review, approval, and signature (subject to delegation of authority) sub agreements being implemented in the US for WRI and donor compliance
  • Lead efforts to track and diversify WRI’s relationships with US grassroots organizations and traditionally underrepresented groups
  • Manage responses to sub agreement/procurement related requests for WRI audits and donor due diligence reviews
  • Serve as a Grants & Contracts subject matter expert and provide appropriate guidance to Programs to ensure their compliance with funder policies & requirements

 

Global Training and Compliance (40%): –

 

  • Develop new courses and lead sub agreement/procurement training for staff across all of WRI’s offices
  • Lead Grants & Contracts communication efforts, including maintenance of intranet pages and resources
  • Liaise with Grants & Contracts staff in WRI’s country offices, seeking to establish common policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks for organization-wide improvement initiatives

 

What will you need:

 

  • Education:You have completed abachelor’s degreeinfinance, accounting, economicsor related area
  • Experience: You have a minimum of 7 years full-time work experience administering procurements and subgrants under a diverse donor portfolio, including private foundations, US government, and European development agencies
  • Experience developing trainings and communications for broad, international audience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships across cultures and time zones in a diverse environment
  • Experience working with some of the following systems: Salesforce, Microsoft SharePoint/Power Apps, Workday
  • Languages: Verbal and written English proficiency
  • Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based. WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization

 

Potential Salary: US salary range is between 96,000 and 110,000 USD. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
