Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is a public-private partnership committed to saving children’s lives and protecting people’s health by increasing equitable use of vaccines in lower-income countries. THE ROLE Reporting to the Chief People and Experience Officer, the person will be responsible for supporting the planning and preparation of critical projects and meetings that are required to deliver on the strategic and operational agenda. |
Our aim with this position is to start developing HR Business Partners for Gavi. The successful individual will spend a minimum of 2 years in this position. Upon completion of these two years, the role incumbent will spend 4 six-month periods working across various HR disciplines including Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management and HR Services. In parallel to this 2-year period, you will also undertake the professional Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Qualification. On successful completion of this four-year programme, you will be considered for a HR Business Partner opportunity or equivalent within the HR team at Gavi.

• A minimum of 5 years prior experience in project-leading and thought-partnering role, preferably within an HR department;
• Prior exposure to a project management focused role a distinct advantage; • Previous experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships within a multicultural environment highly desired. |
• Project planning, research and analytical skills;
• Ability to interact with senior leaders; • Ability to pushback; • Critical thinking; • High level skills in use of Microsoft tools, including Powerpoint & HR systems; • High level writing skills in English; • Excellent prioritisation skills; • Team Player. |
• Fluent English is required;
• French is an asset. |
• Background in a HR-related discipline;
• Minimum BA Business Studies, HR, Psychology, Communication and/or health-related field. |
