The Global Health Network Asia (TGHN Asia) is established in collaboration with the University of Oxford as a Regional Centre to enable evidence to be generated by health workers across Africa, Asia and Latin America, and to empower them to respond to disease outbreaks. Setting up this Coordination Centre strengthens the partnership with the goal of widening the impact, visibility and engagement; and delivering research capacity development, and drive progress in tackling priority public health issues.
Key responsibilities:
The Manager, Knowledge Management will report to Senior Research Investigator and will work with the Regional Lead, The Global Health Network Asia, regional team, training and communication team to develop and implement plans for regional communication and knowledge sharing and visibility of the activities across the region.
- Collaborate with national and international stakeholders and partners to find creative ways to publish and disseminate lessons learned;
- Organise and coordinate research skills workshops, seminars and meetings hosted in the region in response to the training needs identified;
- Engage research groups with the various learning and professional development resources available across The Global Health Network platform (including the eLearning available through the Training Centre, and the WHO-TDR Professional Development Scheme);
- Develop the overall KM strategy and prepare draft plan, develop overall strategy to implement the research studies and other projects;
- Execute tasks as planned with regional coordinator, Asia and monitor progress of plans
- Develop online content including new resources, info graphics, guidance articles, homepage news features, events and research items of interest;
- Generate new research ideas, develop research proposal/protocol and upload contents to the TGHN Asia knowledge Hub;
- Organize dissemination of scientific research findings in various ways;
- Develop and disseminate different knowledge sharing materials such as impact stories, info-graphics, capability statements, newsletter, reports, blog stories, paper etc.;
- Work with Development and Communications Department to manage and curate social media opportunities;
- Monitor timely delivery of different tasks and coordinate with scientific, data science and admin team, oversee data processing and data analyses accordingly;
- Coordinate with the Regional Coordinator, the Regional Data Scientist and the HDR Global team to support Data Science projects across the region;
- Provide an activity report (brief) every quarter on progress and achievements to date, and plan for the following quarter;
- Assist researchers with manuscript writing and publication and enhance research communication and presentation skills.
Required qualification and experience:
- Master’s Degree in Health Science/MPH MBBS.
- At least 5 years of experience in health research in an international/multinational organizations, NGOs or development partner organizations;
- Experience in developing digital content and health-related blogs for international web pages;
- Experience of conducting national and international dissemination sessions and workshops; and need-based training;
- Candidates having publications in international peer reviewed journals will get preference.
- Experience in coordinating trials and leading projects successfully will be counted as an added advantage.
Location: Dhaka.
Contract Type and duration:
- Fixed Term; duration will be 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.
Salary & benefits:
- Annual Tk. 14,59,020/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance, and other admissible benefits;
- 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
