Role

Are you passionate about quality, environment and making a tangible impact on reducing carbon emissions? As the Manager of Quality & Environment (Q&E), your role will be to plan, maintain, oversee, document, report and continuously improve all aspects of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements. You will collaborate with various management levels to advance our dedication to quality and the environment. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in our journey towards carbon neutrality, providing strategic project management and support.

Key responsibilities

Quality & Environment (IMS)

  • Ensure that the IMS is an effective management tool
  • Facilitate and support the external audits of the IMS to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements and ensure that ISO/CS maintains its related certifications
  • Determine the appropriate goals of the IMS and plan the deployment of the deliverables in accordance with such goals
  • Guide, lead and advise relevant stakeholders of the IMS, ensuring good coordination and satisfaction of the ISO/CS staff members
  • Plan and conduct the Management Review to ISO/CS Leadership as specified in ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015, including providing recommendations for areas for improvement to the Leadership team
  • Produce and maintain the performances & environmental indicators, proposing improvements on how KPIs are selected and measured
  • Define the internal audit plan, plan against it, ensuring proper conduction of the audits and appropriate reporting and follow-up actions
  • Implement and follow deployment of IMS improvement actions

Business Continuity (BC)

  • Create, implement, and maintain the BC management system
  • Control, coordinate all activities related to contingency planning
  • Define, prepare, and plan BC exercises and tests and assess exercises results
  • Maintain BC management system related dashboard and reporting to Leadership team implementation of other Management System Standards
  • Guide, lead and advise on the implementation of other MSS
  • Lead the integration of various MSS into the IMS

Carbon neutrality

  • Define, prepare and plan, working in close coordination with management, the measures to achieve the reduction of carbon emissions of the organization (ISO CS)
  • Support the implementation of measures to achieve the reduction of carbon emissions (ISO CS)
Report to: Director, Conformity Assessment and Consumer Matters

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the auditing or management of ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental systems
  • Experience in managing risks and business continuity aspects of an organization
  • Experience in implementing other management system standards is an asset
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with strong English writing skills
  • Proficiency with various IT tools: MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • University-level education (bachelor) or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of measures towards reducing the carbon footprint of an organization is an asset
  • Knowledge of international organization and/or member-based organization is an asset
  • Knowledge of the ISO System, standardization processes and ISO IT tools is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms used for professional reasons is an asset
