Mission of Supply Chain Management is to deliver value to the organization by fostering good governance and embedding effective control in the supply chain functions. The Supply Chain team serves as a centralized purchasing and material management process. The Supply Chain team drives effective commercial outcomes for the acquisition of goods, services and works for the stakeholders.

Brief Description of Position:

Manager, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• Provide inputs in development of tactical plans for Procurement;
• Oversee the Procurement of goods, works and services ensuring quality standards are met while maintain cost efficiency;
• Ensure supply chain functions in accordance with regulations, organizations policies, procedures and demonstrate with ethical professional standard;
• Ensure On-time procurement process by the supply chain team as per customer requirements;
• Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms while evaluating tenders and selecting suppliers;
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement with higher quality standard and adopting technical innovations to enhance efficiency;
• Cascade quality-related roles and responsibilities among supply chain team to ensure integration of quality assurance and correction throughout product, project and/or service life cycles;
• Develop SoPs and set a standard lead time for delivering the materials to the end customer;
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high-quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance in all procure-to-pay processes;
• Manage and mentor supply chain team and foster a culture of continuous improvements;
• Achieve the set procurement target in coordination with team members;
• Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process based on set KPIs to measure effective supplier performance and compliance;
• Collaborate with stakeholders and develop a system for timely completion of procurement and logistics related information to all concerned;
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements developing procurement strategy that are inventive and cost effective;
• Ensure that procurement records are updated regularly, all audit reports are prepared on-time and preserving all documents for future reference;
• Promote a spirit of collegiality and gender diversity amongst team members and in the organization.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Masters in Business Administration/ Relevant Subject preferably with specialization in Supply Chain Management;
• 8 years of experience in Supply Chain domain with at least 4 years of experience in managerial position in a reputed organization;
• Post Graduate Diploma/International Certification in supply chain is desirable.

Location: Mohakhali campus, Dhaka.

Contract Type and Duration:

• Fixed Term; duration will be 2 Years with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Annual 18,88,370/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits
• 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and day-care facilities are subject to space availability.
